All American Tegu

I have a b/w tegu name Phantom. My Boyfriend just ordered an American tegu from Varnyard, I am so excited! Do anyone have an American tegu? If so can you give me some information? Thanks.

First I would like to congrat you on your new Tegu . We have two of them ( 09 Stock ). What would you like to know about them ? They hibernated from September until April 16th of 2010. Thank you. I will like to know if they are good eaters? My boyfriend tegu is 3 wks. old and 10 inches. So far he or she is friendly. Can you post some pics.?

Yes, they are good eaters. There are some All American Tegus from last years stock that are 3' long already. My two All Americans have been tame since day one. Well for except the male he got a bit skittish when I moved them into a bigger enclosure. Other then that they have been perfect. I posted a link above of my photobucket album. There you can see some photos of them . They are bigger now. I have to take some new photos of them soon.

Your welcome. Thank you for the very nice compliment . They were born 08.02.2009 and I got them at the end of August. They were just a few weeks old . Here are some pictures of Shakespeare and Venus when they were younger. The date on the camera wasn't set right.

This is them hibernating. Since they were so small I wanted to check on them after a while to make sure they are OK. Everything went well .

When you get ready to post, go to the bottom, click on Brouse, then select a picture from your computer, then click on Add The File. Then all you need to do is click on submit after the picture loads.

She hibernated till early March, she is right at the 3 foot mark now and nice and fat

Is he from last years clutch or this years ? How long ( from snout to tail tip ) is he and how much does he weigh ?

It's my bf tegu and he was born this yr. He is 16". I am not sure how much he weight.
