Next Wednesday, I'll finally be 18! I can't wait to go Tegu shopping. I found an enclosure that is 6 feet in length, 5 feet deep, and 4ft tall $100. I know it's the minimum size requirement but I think it will be OK for a year or 2 until I get my apartment and be able to upgrade to a 8x4. On the other hand, I've had no luck finding any argentine tegus. There were some colombians at the reptile show I attended but I don't like them as much as I like Argentines. I'm not a big fan of buying live reptiles online so hopefully, I will come across some argentines at another reptile show I will be attending. Wish me luck, everyone! Hopefully, I will have my Tegu by August.

Why don't you get a b/w from Bobby? You know you're going to be happy with what you get and you know that he stands by his animals. There aren't many other places to get tegus that will, FOR SURE, leave you feeling the same way.

I can surely understand why you would be hesitant to purchase a Tegu online and have it shipped...

Reptile breeders have come a long way in shipping. They are shipped over night and spend less than 24 hours in the box. To the lizard it's not much different than spending a day in a cozy burrow. Sure it will be a weird day for them, but provided you have a suitable home to bring them into they will "recover" from shipping instantly.

As for buying sight unseen, I can also understand your hesitation. But with reptiles, including Tegus, you can't usually 'see' the quality that goes into them. There are a lot of 'flippers' out there buying imports in bulk and reselling them at a mark up, and most of these flippers will tell you they got them from a caring breeder because that's what sells.

Bobby has been around for quite a while and has a long list of very happy customers that can speak on his behalf. He is not a fly by night supplier and is not a flipper. Through Bobby, you can trust your animal came from a Breeder that cares about the animals he produces and selectively chose his breeders.

Edit/Add - Oh, and Happy Birthday :p
