He shed today. 3 pieces was all. It was pretty awesome. I caught him shedding this morning, then fed him a fuzzy at lunch. Took some great pictures of the nice bright white thats coming out already.

It's processing now, so should be up and going soon enough. I wish I had time to stay to watch the full shed, but I was walking out the door when I saw him running in circles over his basking rock over and over and peeling it off. It was the first time i've actually seen it happening. Pretty wild!!
Also, I picked up one of the PE-1s from tempgun.com. AMAZING product. Very high quality, very accurate. I've had a temp monitor right above his basking ledge thing thats right under the light. The air temp is around 110, but the tempgun reading the surface temp was 120 or so! I'm thinking this is too hot, so I put a bunch of mulch over the rock. Now it sits about 100. I may need to get a smaller light. I cant really raise it up any more.
Just wanted to share my new hatchling. He's right at 16 inches now, 4oz, and looking fantastic!
