so i've been doing some research on Argus monitors because i plan on getting one although there is alot of great info out there the only thing i can't seem to find is the Argus them selves or breeders does anyone know any websites or breeders that sell Argus monitors or how much they normaly go for?



p.s. i dont plan to buy right away it may be a few months to a year b4 i get one thanx

I know you don't plan on buying right away, but, if you live in So Cal, someone just put their argus up for adoption today for about $1000. He's selling the enclosure with it as well.

It's a full grown adult, not a baby. Although there is a one year old on CL as well, and it's gorgeous!

As far as breeders go, I'm not sure of any reputable argus breeders, but I'm sure someone will chime in soon with one!

too bad for me i live all the way o the east coast but ur right that baby argus is wicked cute andthe first one seems like a pretty decent deal i'll just have to check the expos when i go in march and april i remeber seeing one for $100 that was 12" but then again it was the same place i got my sick near death savannah idk but thanx for your help

No problem. Shows can sometimes be the best place to go, and can sometimes be the worse place to go. So far I've had good experiences, but an acquaintance of mine had a horrible one, I bought a healthy tegu from one group, and she, sadly, got a rather unhealthy one from a different booth. I wish you luck on getting your Argus! From what I've seen and heard, they're pretty good lizards!

the guy who i got my iguana manny from has been trying to get me to get his 2' female argus with an enclosure(75 gal) for only $250 but he is in indiana!

There was a guy in SoCal named Shay selling his cbb offspring on Kingsnake in late March last year. If he's still producing them, then the time is coming. He had pictures of each individual hatchie in the classifieds. The price was pretty decent, too. I think 150 or 175. You can see his animals and their huge cage on Youtube. He posts under the name Shayaj. If you have a Youtube acct, maybe you could shoot him a pm and see if he's producing this year.

yea i've watched his vids there awsome but i'll have to check out if hes still going to be producing but the time i buy
