Arnold the Tegu!!

We are the Robens, and Arnold is our first Tegu! After our beloved Savannah monitor passed away we decided to get Arnold. We had been wanting a Tegu for some time, so it's exciting to have him. He's a black and white columbian, and just gorgeous! I don't get what all the fuss is about, he's incredibly sweet, and warming up to us nicely. He's not aggressive at all, no biting, no tail whipping, and no freaking out. We've been handling him everyday along with allowing him free roaming time. So far he has eaten everything we offered him including fruit! We are off to a great start, and it's great to have this place as a resource.

I had the best day with Arnold today! He's getting so comfortable with us, the t-shirt trick really does wonders! We had so much fun playing together today can not wait till tomorrow!

Mine arrived one day late picked up at the Post Office so he/she is doing well and eating and drinking so he's settled in and love to be in my hoodie pocket where she is now sleeping away.... Not one time has she postured or attempted to bite some heavy breathing when I reach in but that has gone away... She is perfect and so sweet I love her!!! Or Him? Lol

I am glad your having as much fun with Arnold as I am mine ... We have only one Problem NO NAME yet!!! Lol

What a little cutie! I'm so glad she arrived safely! I always have such a hard time with names, but my husband is great at it. He seems to like all the old school names, like Walter, Frank, Oswald, and now Arnold! Those are actual names of our reptiles!

These are from today. Had another fantastic day with Arnold. He now comes to my hand and just chills out and relaxes. Each day he's getting more and more comfortable, it's awesome. He likes to run all up and down my arms and on to my back. Today he ran on to my back and then decided to burrow in my hair under my pony tail! That's what he's doing in the second picture.
