Attacked by my Tegu

Hi guys,
My tegu escaped from his tank and was hiding. All he could see were my feet and he must of mistaken me for food and attacked me. I am fine, but I'm wondering if I should go to the hospital and get a shot to prevent infection?

Ouch! I'm sorry that happened!

I would probably see your doctor, just to be safe. I had a neighbors dog bite me recently...I went and had my doc take a look at it the next day. Luckily it was fine but she did tell me to really be on the look out for redness and swelling (and other things that could represent infection) in the following days.

So if you choose not to see your doc, at least keep a close eye on it!
