Hi everyone
This is directed at everyone but specifically the Canadian reptile keepers out there. The BCSPCA is currently encouraging the BC provincial government to classify exotics as wild animals and therefor making it illegal to own them without a permit (which they suggest will be very hard to obtain as the BCSPCA does not believe it socially acceptable to keep reptiles as pets). If this occurs then it is easy to surmise that other province's will follow suite. There is a new webapage up to help keep the herp community both informed and united to fight against such legislation and I encourage all reptile lovers in Canada to keep themselves informed as to any impending legislation as well as update themselves on anything and everything that can be done to work against such legal action.
please take a moment to check out the page and sign the petition.
thanks
