hi i just got one and well id say (rescue) but ive been doing some research on them and when we went and picked it up yesterday it seems so small and she said its vicious i dont c that yet? its suppose to be a year and a half old i dont know its awful small and really hungry so i fed it a little bit i dont wont to overload with food and kill it any help would be greatly appreciated since iam new to tegus i can do iguanas i have 5 of them so let me know your thoughts ill try and get a pic hes only maybe a foot long thank you

tegus are awesome very rewarding pets and good friends around a year or so tegus go through puberty and can become quite mean and irritable but will calm down soon enough keep them well fed and plenty of uvb or natural sunlight and lots of love and friendship

How big is he? How are you keeping him, enclosure size/type, temps, humidity, bulb sizes/types. ?What do you intend on feeding?

hi he/shes only is around 10 in it was in a ten gallon tank with bark in the bottom no heat rock or heat pad a log some type of light hes going to be going in a larger tank tom iam letting him settle in a little bit i have a basking light 100w and uva/uvb lights as well iam feeding a couple crickets a couple mealworms some salad beef liver and ground turkey with some cod liver oil i just got him yesterday he looks so tiny to me and so under fed iam waiting for him to come out of his hide to eat and drink so i can get a pic of him to post he must have been in this tank forever she said hes vicious idk if it is or not, so much iam going to need all the help i can get ty karen
