So me and my boyfriend decided a few months ago to purchase a black and white Argentine Tegu, boy was that the best decision. She's my little baby! We still haven't decided a name for the little guy yet, because were waiting to sex it. Anyways, I've owned many lizards and always wanted to own a tegu. Right away I was able to tell how intelligent she was. She is super sweet and what I believe to be the kindest reptile ever. Her diet consists of pinky mice, goldfish, chicken, shrimp, and ocassionaly some dusted crickets (she's a little big for them now) Anyways, say hello to this beauty:)

as you can tell I love taking pictures of her, almost as much as she loves to pose for the camera

She literally will crawl up to me and just cuddle. I love it

Congrats Kenneth. Great pics, especially the last two! Except for the goldfish, the diet looks good. Right off, I forget the problem with them, but they are a source of something that's bad for herps and fish-eating fish like Oscars, etc.

Thank you! Yeah, I heard they werent the best when it comes to nutrition, we try not to feed goldfish too much, but resort to it when our local pet store is all out of everything else. /:

We thought about the monitor and tegu diet from Zoomed but idk, we don't really want to feed something that comes from a can. And we've tried to feed fruits but she just doesn't like them

mealworms, roaches, fish. goldfish is high in theramin which if given too much can be bad for them. the diet works for me if they eat in and try blending it all together with fruits and such and calcium that works for me sometimes
