right now i use rep-cal with D3 for my beardie. she has a repti-sun 10.0 about 12 inches from the floor of her cage. she basks under it daily. my question is do i need to use the calcium with D3? should i use normal calcium on a daily basis and the D3 once or twice a week?

I'm afraid that there are no correct answer to your question. Some believe that it's best to add extra D3 in the food. Some believe that's it's bad.

I have chosen to add some.

what i have decided to do is get some calcium that has no D3. specifically the zoo med repti calcium. and im going to keep my calcium with D3 and add it into her diet from time to time. just to stay on the safe side. does that sound ok?

I don't dare to say anything about that. :p

But I use a mix of calcium without D3, miner-al with D3 and multivitamins without D3.
