Had to break out the camera yesterday, i let the tegus chill on the window sill and the both were staring out the window so intently, there were some lil sparrows in the yard playing in a chip bag lol, they had that "i really want to eat you" look going on lol

Haha! Mine does that too :) It's really funny when I have Link on the train with me, and he's staring out the window and watching everything. He was also out walking the other day, and a sparrow flew in and landed right next to him. He did a double take, and I quickly pulled him away on his leash. They're curious little (or not so little!) eating machines :)

Ikr lol, someone described them best when they said " if it moves or has moved it must be food", when they stare its almost like you can see thier brains trying to figure out stuff, cause they really wanted to find a way to get those birds lol

Reminds me of Tonka when he sit by the screen door watching everything.

That would be quite the site to see them try to catch a bird.:)

My Tegu lives on a balcony with a field/woods across the way. He spends an hour or more every day watching birds fly, squirrels run and children play... It is very interesting to me to watch how interested my tegu is in his surroundings...

While free roaming in that field my tegu has found a toad on more than one occasion. Each time he stares at it with interest until it moves, then he attacks it and eats it.

It's exceptionally amusing to toss a live flopping fish next to him on the floor unexpectedly. He darts at the fish which flops out of the way and there is an amazingly fast paced chase until the Tegu lands the fish.
