I think the one in the back corner resembles an Argentine the most out of the three though. I think anyways

All look to be Colombian "black and whites".

He is probably selling them as "black and whites" because although technically they aren't (they're simply known as Colombians) there also exist Colombians that are black and yellow or, as some of us call them, "golds".

It's hard to tell what color they actually are, but the the one on the left side of the tank looks like he might be a Colombian "gold" but I can't see if the markings are yellow or white.

Either way, they aren't Argentine B&W's but they're awesome none-the-less.

From what you're saying, he sounds simply misinformed.

$65 for a Colombian is an average price for one while $150 (low end) $200 (average) $250+ (high-end) is about right for Argentines.

Also, most local shops get Colombians while most Argentines come from breeders or online stores that specialize in specific tegus ie; black and whites, reds, blues, all americans etc.

This is not always the case (obviously), but more times then not you have to do a little digging to find Argentines.

Here in Colorado, at our local all reptile specialist hub (Scales and Tails) in the 5 years they've been around I've seen dozens and dozens of Colombians go through there and only (2) Argentines, one red and one B&W - and they just came in last week.
