no, it would be a red/bw hybrid. some of them look pretty neat, i almost bought one that had a lot of white. it looked similar to a blue. Blues are technically the same species as the black and whites, there hasn't been enough studies to determine if it really is a different species.

You buy a blue. A blue bred to a blue is the only way to get blues.

bu the only problem is that blues are so inbred that they can be blind or have other problems, and since its illeagal to get imported blues your going to have some problems

You are partially right on that with the blues being so inbred . but I don't see any more problems with the blues that I have seen with any of the other tegu's Ive seen. I can only go from what I have observed for myself, not from what others have said.I have have owned as personal pets over the last ten or so years 14 or so tegus of every type known to the pet trade .And currently own ten tegus and with some hope can out-cross some high white with some blues to in-cross for two generations back into blues to strengthen up the gene pool . The same as in dogs are bred it can be done
Now if you are speaking on the albinos, then it is very valid concern about vision and other problems popping up just like in albino crocodilians If I listened to what everyone else was saying, I never would have made any tegu purchases at all let alone my blue tegu.

The blues are THOUGHT to be inbred, but as far as I know there has been no tests done to prove is disprove this. I'm sure the blood is more diverse than many think in the blues that are available.

No I think I know what tegu you're reffering to, on fauna right? It was most likely a blueXb/w to a b/w offspring or just a blueXb/w, which could possibly produce a higher than usual high white tegu, it still wouldn't be a blue but a hybrid

Someone was selling a Blk & wht that was "het for blue" Does that mean its a recessive trait?

That means they were trying to find some sucker who didn't know better to get a b/w tegu for a premium price. Sounds like a a dealer from fauna with the initials of E.C from jersey

No . it means the guy was trying to unload a regular B/w for a premium price to some poor sucker that don't know any better.
