Another thread got me thinking about this...

How does you know how much calcium to use when dusting things like ground turkey? I usually eyeball what "looks" to be right, but I really don't have a clue. So...what do you guys do?

I thought that this was a good question so I asked Zoo-med and here is the answer I got....

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. The Repti Calcium should be fed at a dose of about Ã?â??Ã?½ teaspoon for every 5 ounces of body weight per week. The calcium can be sprinkled on top of your pets fruits and veggies or you can shake crickets or mealworms in a bag with the dust to coat them before feeding to your animal. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Ashley Rademacher

Also forgot to mention that this is just for Zoo-med calcium (which is what I use). Other brands will probally have different recomendations so you will prolly have to ask.
