Mamasaurus....good info on the egg business. I've been feeding eggs since I've had my Tegus, and haven't had shed probs. I don't do them more than 2X a week tho. Thanks to everybody here for comments!!! Good info!

im a new tegu keeper and just a 3 month old argentine black and white called Gus and would like to move it on from just crickets and locusts and just fed it some raw turkey breast steak dusted with calcium he seemed to like it coz he ate about 5 -6 but size chunks but I want to know if it’s ok for him to actually eat that and some suggestions of other things to feed my 3 month old Argentine black

You should get a food processor & grind the turkey and throw in just about any fruits, veggies, egg yolk, salmon, talapia, sweet potatoe, green beans, parsley with calcium and everyother feeding with calcium powder & vit D. You can make meatballs out of this blend & freeze & save for feedings down the road. There are safe food lists on the web. Rule of thumb with the chunks is that the food item should not be bigger than the width between your tegu's eyes. Kiwi, mango, papaya, blueberries, raspberries... also, Rose City Reptiles has alot of great info on YouTube! Good luck with your new baby!! This type of feeding prevents the tegu from picking and choosing what it doesn't like.
