Hello, long story short, I didn't wash the new plants in my bioactive enclosure and now my 10x4x4 grow tent is infested with centipedes. Tiny, not even an inch, but still.
I know they're feasting on my poor springtails so ive been gradually removing and baking substrate, but I have a small oven so it's taking a long time. Been about a week now, and still have probably half the substrate still in there (I work outside of my home, so can only do this at night and weekends).
I jave some large contractor trash bags in my deep freezer that are filled with the substrate, I've supplemented my "garden" with some of it too, but I need this done faster.
Any thoughts? I'm going to buy some thick landscaping stones to put on the bottom so if I have to throw away some soil it'll still fill up, but this needs to go faster. I feel so horrible for him but I can't quit afford to replace all his substrate right now and I can't throw away too much at once anyway, our garbage cans have a weight limit that I've seen enforced before.
