Haha its just so weird.. he sat the chasing his tail then when he caught the base of it he chewed on it for about 7 minutes. Now he's got dents in his tail. I thought only dogs were dumb enough to chase their tail.
I've never heard of a Tegu chasing nor chewing on it's own tail...
Dogs lick themselves for cleanliness and chase their tail to play... neither of these explainations would make sense with a Tegu...
I suspect your Tegu has a problem, though I have no clue what it is. Compare your care to care sheets to see if something is off (humidity, substrate type, etc)
