chewing on his own tail?

Haha its just so weird.. he sat the chasing his tail then when he caught the base of it he chewed on it for about 7 minutes. Now he's got dents in his tail. I thought only dogs were dumb enough to chase their tail.

I've never heard of a Tegu chasing nor chewing on it's own tail...

Dogs lick themselves for cleanliness and chase their tail to play... neither of these explainations would make sense with a Tegu...

I suspect your Tegu has a problem, though I have no clue what it is. Compare your care to care sheets to see if something is off (humidity, substrate type, etc)

First time I've heard of this as well. Does seem like something is amiss, perhaps nutritionally.

All of his cbc and chem was perfect and his rads were great. I did that today at work on my break.
