chickens a good food source

iv been feeding chicks (baby chickens) lately to my tegus and i just wanted to share the success iv had doing so. with rats and mice we always have to worry about fur impactions and such, but with chicks the feathers digest and chicks have way more mass to them as far as bone, kidneys,organs and such. my male is eating 1 month old chicks pretty easy. my female is a bit smaller due to her head size so she gets between 1 and 3 week old chicks. also if your feeding live prey chicks dont fight or bite the tegus just scream a lot..
