Concerened about Bob.

As some of you know my big male Bob escaped and was recaptured the next day. He had a 30 hour run of freedom. Lately he has not eaten at all. He turns his nose up at everything. My Basking temps are 115 and humidity at 65% or higher. Like I said before I have no idea if he got into anything. I have been letting him outside just a little bit. Then today I was picking him up and he regurgitated a bunch of water and mucus on me. He seems to have lots of energy, but I am getting concerned. If he does not start eating soon I am going to get him to the vet.

I wouldn't wait that long. Call the vet, mention it to them, and see if they think it warrants a visit now. If he can't hold down water, there could be a huge problem. Reptiles don't show pain the same way as other animals do.

I think it was that I picked him up to soon. I know hes not dehydrated since I saw him peeing yesterday. After I put him back in the cage today he did take a big long drink. But I am still concerned about his appetite.

My guess is that he tried to eat something marginal during his big adventure ...

Lets hope he is ok give him a soak and what ever he likes best ......

He did pass some wood chips a couple days after he came back about the size of my thumb. I do soak him everyday and he is peeing at least.
