ok so today I finaly interduced my two tegus together, in a mutrail spot.. so there was alot of tounge flicks. but then my male stated to breath really funny.. like it was fast and hard at the same time, wheil he was nuggin her and started to sctrach at her. and at one point he try to nip at the back of her neck. i pulled him offf her of course. but hes breathing was werid. Does this mean they will not get along or what? please any advise would help :bang

well this is the first time they have met thou. there not even 3 yrs old. the male is alittle over 1 1/2 and the female is little over 2? is this still a normal mating behavior? And will they get long

Hehehehe, yeah, it sounds like mating behavior. And he's *definitely* old enough to want and be able to breed. It doesn't necessarily mean that they won't get along, per say, but if you don't want them to breed, I'd keep them apart.

Sounds like he was jowl popping which is perfectly normal for males to do around females. I'll try to post a video later of my red male doing this, he did it quite often since he could see my b/w females though the glass. And he was a lil over 2'
