Cost?

Hi everybody! My name is Paxton Mook, and I plan to get a black and white tegu. I have done research for about 3 to 4 months now and the only thing I haven’t considered is cost. I was wondering on how much it would cost to keep a tegu per month. Thank you and merry Christmas!

Cost will vary depending upon what you feed your tegu, its food response and age. Within a month I spend about $30 per Tegu with my yearlings. When my tegu's were hatchlings I would buy crickets in bulk (1000 ) and supplement with Calcium powder this set me back about $40 a month.

Monthly… veggies, meats, insects, berries… about $40. water for humidifier per month… $15.
