My year or so old B/W tegu is sleeping very late(4:00 pm today) and not been eating much, today he didn't eat at all, is it too early for him to be starting to hibernate?

Did you feed him a big meal yesterday ? Sometimes when they eat a lot espacially a rodent they skip a day or two to eat again. Also when Tegus get older they don't eat every day. Is he by any chance starting to shed ? Tegus also slow down with eating a lot when they are getting ready to shed.

Well he's actualy been eating very littl th last 4 days or so (except today he ate a lot. Hell he tried to eat our breakfast in bed tray). He's not shedding. Really the thing I'm refering to is the really late sleeping. He gets up but way later than usual. And I know that older tegus eat les but he's still young. He's only abou 20 inches

Oh, OK. Sorry about that. Aren't they cute when they are so little :) . That would of made a cute video him trying to eat the tray lol. Tegus do some strange things sometimes. Some of my Tegus slept all day and came out around midnight. I had to turn on the basking light for them. They haven't been doing for about a year now. Do you have the lights on a timer ? Sorry I can't help you much :( .

I didn actualy see him try to eat the tray, my wife just told me about it. Wish I did though, I'm sure it was cute. He seems to be eating normal now his schedule must just be off. We don't have a timer for the lights so I guess that might have something to do with it. They just cost to much and were broke

I totally understand when money is tight, believe me. Whenever you guys are able to, I'd definitely get a timer for your lights. This is a great one right here, for a good price, and amazon.com does WONDERFUL business:
