I love cresties!

Does anyone know what morph would be the best to breed? By best i mean which morphs sell the easiest and/or the bring in the most cash per hatchling?

My crested gecko was the 1st reptile i ever took care of by myself, he is a yellow tiger morph and is not one i plan on breeding anymore because of his age . If anyone can give me tips on finding a breeding trio it would be appreciated. Or any tips on breeding / advertising too.

Go ahead and post pictures of your cresties! They have to be one of the cutest geckos of all. Here is my male when he was younger. Wasn't he cute!!?

the morphs of the geckos that you breed doesnt really matter. the hatchlings will be random for the most part.

here is a picture of my first crested gecko. this is Zazu

Crested geckos are awesome creatures. We had our first hatchlings a few weeks ago. We actually got to see the first one hatch. My husband and I currently have 8 cresties. :)

I've got nine! I would say Harley, or extreme harleys. Something with good contrast. Those are what people snap up. Just got one myself today at a show. She's a beautiful thing!

Cresties are almost impossible NOT to breed. I used to breed them myself. I'd have to agree that the hatchlings colors do tend to be random. And you'll be able to sell any of them. I had two normal looking parents and ended up with one baby out of six that was chocolate brown with an almost white stripe down it's back. The genetic variability of this species is what makes it so great! I love Cresties to this day.

Also from what I understand there are a few breeders trying to get the perfect black crestie by selectively breeding dalmations. You'd have to find a crestie that was pretty spotted though, since they probably have a few years on ya. But it's worth a shot.

You could also look around. Julie at Geckoranch.com has got some amazing cresties. She has at least one bloodline from Repashy.
