D3 and Orange Belly

My Tegu has an orange belly which from what I could figure was genetic. Recently out of curiosity I stopped adding D3 to my Tegu's food wondering if maybe to much D3 was causing the change in scale coloration. Its been about a week since I've been doing this and it appears his belly is less orange then before.

So, now im wondering if maybe I was giving to much D3 and the orange belly was just a side effect of that. I will go another couple weeks with very limited D3 supplementation to see if it might be causing the orange belly.

I haven't read anything about to much D3 causing this.

Orange- firebelly is genetic. If growing, they especially need calcium with D3.
