dechlorinate your bath and drinking water?

I searched with no results, so I'm asking here. I do, but does anyone else. I know the normal tap water in my area is treated. I've only seen "fresh water" on many caresheets but I'd like some specific info.

well I say NO. Don't add more chemical. One of the tricks I learned in a very successful fish shop years ago was that all you really need to do is 1. Let the water sit for an hour and as you take it from the faucet let it really bubble or agitate the water or 2. let it sit over night. I keep plastic water bottles full that sit overnight then use them. Never a problem. Never a fish loss or a reptile problem.

I just use tap water for my reptiles, our water is treated and I've had no issues, even when bathing (in about 3 - 5 inches or so of water in the bath tub). The only thing I've ever used for fish is stress-coat, and that's only when I"m changing out my pond water because I didn't allow it to set long enough and lost most of my Koi due to stupidity.

One drop of dechlorination, I use Prime, will treat one gallon of water. I say why take the chance but that's just me.

I've never done it, I've also read about letting it sit overnight before using it. I've never had any health issues with current or past reptiles so far.

I believe the chemical instantly takes the chlorine out, where as leaving it overnight it evaporates. . . I use aqueon brand. I have heard frogs and amphibious animals when mister with tap water have had issues. Just wanted to make sure I'm doing everything right. Thanks for the replies.

I use regular tap water for most of my large reptiles because it's coming from the hose. Inside, I use the Brita filter for frogs, small snakes, etc. I also have a filter on my shower head, but tegus usually get the hose water on the porch for bath time. If they are bathing inside, it's tap water.
