Mine's slowing down too, only coming out to eat and refusing food every other day. Another thing you'll notice is that the bathroom schedule will get thrown off... Zzyzx is now only making one large defecation every week or two, so if you see that, don't freak out and suspect impaction. Also, if you want to make sure he doesn't get sick if he goes down (if he has high levels of salmonellosis or protazoans in his digestive tract), I highly recommend taking him in to see a herp vet. He/she will palpate, examine, and check stool samples before approving the winter rest period, which can give you some real peace of mind when you stop seeing him basking. It's well worth the $50 to get a quick check and know he's healthy. I skipped mine this year by accident  :doh  :doh ....... I should really know better because I intern in a clinic...... Dr. Driggers will not be happy with me!!!!  :bolt
