So my beardie has dug around before, but this year he seems to be digging straight to China. The breeder I got him from used to keep him outside and told me they used to dig when "winter" was coming. Any thoughts?

Oh his basking spot is around 110, and his ambient temp is around 83. His lights are on for 12 hours everyday. 0700-1900.
