Tegu puberty.

Our first Tegu decided I was his chew toy at 8-9 months old (lunging and biting). It lasted 6 months and one day he suddenly became the perfect mellow Tegu, like nothing had ever happened.

Lunging and biting. Sounds like mine right now. I'm always extra cautious on hand washing lately so she doesn't think My Fingers=Tasty Treat...

Do Tegus Teethe? My 9-month-old Tegu has grown interest to chomp on anything she can. Why?

1) Increased curiosity of her surroundings (especially when I take her out to roam).

2) A hungry little girl always looking for things that are edible.

3) Teething, therefore chewing on things to soothe the pain (like with babies).

4) None of the above (I'll leave my own theory in a comment below.)
