So the folks at the store where I got Kodo recommend I offer him some hard boiled eggs. I have read that giving tegus egg when they're too small can screw up some of their metabolic processes. Kodo is about a year as far as I can tell (he's two feet long and growing like a weed). Is this too young/small for eggs? Do I give him whole eggs or cut them into pieces? Should he get just the whites or the yolks as well? I personally LOVE hard boiled eggs (best part of Passover sedar, aside from listening to Metallica's "Creeping Death" all day) and look forward to sharing a snack with my tegu.

Eggs sparingly are fine. If he is large enough to take a whole egg it is fine, if not cut up is fine too.
