Hello! I have read advice on this site fairly frequently since getting my gal last summer, but this is my first post. I have a black and white/red cross, and she's around 3 but was under-fed before I had her so she's not fully grown yet, about 40" long.
The problem arises infrequently, thankfully, but is somewhat disconcerting. When I have my gal out, she'll crawl on me pretty often, which I love even if she mostly likes to climb on my head. She'll also explore my legs and, ah, private areas when I sit on the floor. I know she's an animal and I can deal with the nosing, but a few times she has nosed my crotch and then bitten. Last night I was wearing a dress, and she likes to hide under skirts, etc., and was nosing under the skirt. She also likes to climb up my stomach from between my legs so I didn't think that much of it until I felt a slight tug and a pull on my underwear. I stood up right away, essentially yanking them out of her mouth, but I don't even know how I could have handled it if she had gotten some flesh there.
I think it's related to food aggression, as it's happened when she could be hungry, but I just don't know what the deal is. I understand things might smell a little different around my privates, but uh . . . yeah. Would appreciate insight on this behavior, or advice on stopping it next time. I know bite advice is to stay still and I could do that the one time she bit my finger (before she even had teeth), but I'm not sure I could stand a full-on lizard bite of my cooch. I'm sorry this is so personal, but I could really use some advice!
