every thing to know about tegus?

I am new to this website and im looking forward to buying my first tegu in spring.
I have looked up some stuff but thought it would be best to get the info and care tips from people that really love there tegu. Thank you ahead of time.

Like maybe how fast they grow, best food, how often to vary it, enclosure builds, where to get them,how to taim them, is it the same way as my iguana. Any tips will help as i like to know as much as i can befor making any move forward.

I have the basics and I've made up my mind on a column.b&w but its a family member not a pet. I want the best care.thanks for the advice though people have already covered what im lookin for haha. Didn't realize this site was that big.
