what do you guys do to exercise your savs an other monitors??? when weather is right i walk mine most of time i have him swim in the bath tub
what else is there to keep them fit?
mines still fairly young, i have a 20 gallon tank i feed it crickets in... s/hes gotta run to get the crickets so thats some form of exercise. i tried bathing it but it cant stand the bath tub. i might get a.... i dont know the name.. a matt thing for the bottom so s/he can have something to stand on.
yeah its weird i see all sorts of videos with monitors in the tub and they seem to like it. mine likes to soak in its water dish but for some reason not the tub..
yo john i forgot to tell you my girlfriend just bought me a sav from all pets club hes a bit of a jerk but wicked cool haha but i would deff say insects are the way to go for exercise or maybe a piece of chicken on a string ive even seen them chase after raido controled cars haha i mean mine chased down my cat earlier i thought that was cool haha
Right on bro.. I been tryin to sell my snakes an baby sav... mine gets crickets every couple days an always make him Chase Wut I feed him or just feed live mice
they can be feed just not in exces amounts,i fed them to all my lizards without any problems.but there are some chemicals in the tanks to keep them alive longer,so i dont feed very often. arent minnow usually fairly cheep too? i was thinking of trying some out.

u could also use cheap freshwater baithfish from a tackle shop as feeders but 1 thing i dont get is why feed fish to a savy they eat like 90 % inverts and inseckts naturaly so when going to a tackle shop i whould get earthworms they r probly better food to perfeckt calcium phosfor ratio to
You can get silver sides [fish ] frozen in flats for the tropical fish trade .. They are raised for food for touchy fish .. They are available at tropical fish stores and the price is right as compared to live fish ... Not much for exercise tho ... The only exercise I could think of is swimming .. Hunger and search for food is what they do . If they are well fed they just lay under their light as they are supposed to ...
ya i dangle food for mine an make him chase it up an down the enclosure 3-5 times before i give him the food but he spends alot of time under the light
