does anyone feed green vegies to tegus? some reptiles will eat greens if you mix it finely chopped in thier food. will green vegitables enhance a tegus health?

ive feed some sweet peppers and tomatos mixed in turkey burger. but not needed. I agree with Bobby saying buying fruits and veggies is waste of money to feed GUs . I do buy fruits and grow veggies for me and give some to my GUs.
