Feeding hints & tips

Hi my names tracy im getting a new black and white tegu from bobby this week.

i know that it is best to feed them straight meat for at least a year. But id like to know if their are any specific things i should get him to make sure he recieves a plentiful supply of vatamins , minerals, calcium. and all that good stuff. So far all i know is to give him some ground turkey and beef liver and mice.????

Any other care tips are gladly accepted in this forum. THANK YOU

any type of rodent twice a week will supply calcium , the beef liver has a lot of vitamins and if u add regular plain cod liver oil to the ground turkey just a spoon full for a whole pound that will supply further nutrition.... add eggs scrambled once a week and crickets and or roaches and that should be good for a while just rotate the foods....

I agree with the above, specially the cod liver oil, thats one of the things I learnd about from the members here on this forum. Good stuff, stinks like hell, but good stuff for them

You can throw some fish in there if you want even more variety.. my boy loves talapia.. check out that food list tho, so much stuff if you ever feel like mixing it up.
