Feeding Question

So my year an a half old Akira is starting to reanimate from her winter "slumber" i'm noticing her out 90% of the time her light is on especially after Akira and my chacoan Bella moved in together(Pics on the way!) but i've been having a slight issue with Akira. It seems all he will eat is rats nothing else...turn his head way from turkey, roaches, crickets, eggs, fruits EVERYTHING! D@mn hibernation! Before i couldnt get akira to stop eating i mean almost $15 a day just downing it with ease and now maybe $4 a week at first i was like "Woohoo! Cheap food bill!" but now as my other black and white Sophi started coming even she is eating 3 or 4 times as much and is eating roaches, fruits, turkey, mice/rats on a regular basis...So my question is what can i do? is this normal behavior? am i doing something wrong? I only feed a rat once a week but offer other food daily(ie roaches, turkey, etc) out of fear of obesity or liver failure.

most likely since it recently came out if hibernation it may still be adjusting, i say give him a few days without food and then offer him some he will take it(dont worry about him not eating for a few days i do this with nero when he start refusing food) just be patient he will come around

I would stop giving him some rodents, too, for a while. Try to give him some chicken/turkey stage one baby food. If he likes that mix it with some ground turkey the next time. Our Leonidas is a very picky eater but he likes the squash, corn and chicken stage one baby food. I mixt it with the ground turkey and he ate it like a pig lol. I like using the baby food or making my own sometimes because it mixes up with the meat very well and they can't dig trough it and just pick what they want. I know it sounds very gross but if you have a old blender that you don't use any more you can put the rodent and some ground turkey in it and blend it up.

trust me i'm not worried about him not eating for a few days but this is one stubborn tegu, Akira would rather bite my hand than take a bite out of turkey lol
