How long does everyone keep their tegu in the separate feeding enclosure? In other words, how long do you keep the food available to the gu? Is it like a dog where if they don't eat it in ten minutes you take it away? Thanks in advance.

I have mine in the food bin till I see he's done, usually I know he's had enough cause e starts wiping his mouth and walking the bin trying to get out, then I let him climb up on me and I handle him for a bit, I put him back in the food bin to see if he eats anymore if he doesn't then he's pretty much done, everyone has there way

I did the same thing when I used a bin. IF the tegu didnt start eating rather quickly I took the food away and saved it for the next day. most often mine ate right away during the spring and early-mid summer.
