Ive recently found a series of freeze dried insects by flukers and some other reptile companies and was wondering if anyone knew if these were ok to fully replace live insects
I suppose you technically could, but you've got no control over what their guts are loaded with, so you have no way to verify that they're nutritional at all.
I don't think the problem with dried insects is thier nutritional quality but the simple fact most reptiles won't take them. Many people find it hard for reptiles to take this kind of food. It even smells wierd. Im not 100% sure but I don't see why you can't if your tegu will take to them.
