So I have a new problem to deal with. My tegu woke up and has been up for a about 5 days now. She will let me pet her in the tank, but will not allow me to pick her up. I do not want to feed her in the cage. So I am hoping in the next couple of days she will allow me to pick her up.

Hi Robert. How are you trying to pick her up ( if you do pick her up ). Are you trying to grab her from above and her feet are in the air ? Or are you putting your hand underneath her ( sliding it between her front legs all the way to her back legs ) ? Here is how I get my hatchlings out of the enclosure. I did it this way with all of my other Tegus, too, and it worked well.
