Okay well this sucks lol. I just wrote a huge article on this subject and when I went to post it, I guess it took too long for me to type up on here. But basically what it was about was me herping finding 3 frogs dead in a flowing stream with fungus/sores on them and 1 definitely infected one and 1 perfect condition animal. And stressd the importance for herpers to carry ziploc bags and collect any dead amphibians they find in streams or if the deaths appear to be caused by disease. Also, herpers especially, be sure to wash boots after hiking streams, clean vehicles well, and if you brought a companion (animal) with you be sure to wash them right when you get home. The disease is believe to be spread through foot traffic, vehicles, and birds. It sucks cause I wrote a looooot of stuff on this and the post didnt go through lol. Please to discuss this, post in the amphibian forum section. I would have posted there but I wanted to especially address fellow herpers cause this subject is "known" but I think most herpers dont understand the severity of the situation/importance.

once again please reply to this via amphibian forum section. I would love to hear peoples experience with this in the field, or their knowledge and interest in it.

good info bro I seen a report from the BBC about the fungus killing many amphibian species in South American is what they think wiped out the population of the golden frog. hope the scientists and researchers can stop it. world without amphibians would stink.
