Fighting

I have 2 male tegus that don't get a long. do you think they can ever co exists... not live together in the same cage or anything but at least be able to free roam together. right now i have to have them take turns free roaming one at a time.

If they are free roaming and fighting then it's most likely territorial,but I really wouldn't know,just a guess!

when lizards fight its all about territory or mating privilage, and since you have two males and apparently no females, its about territory. if they have already started fighting they will probably always fight. where do they "free roam"? is there a way to separate them? consider visual barriers that they cant climb over or under. And good luck!
