My little guy had his first fuzzy today and let me tell you was it an experience. I thought it would be the same as when he eats his pinkies, but instead it was very different. He shook the fuzzy and the legs went flying off, he ate them, than he shook it again and it split in two, he ate both ends, and than licked up whatever remained. I think he was having a little too much fun with the fuzzy. Luckily it was already dead before he got it.

My last tegu also shreded fuzzys. It was pretty gruesome it was also alive. Limbs where all over the place. Since then I started to feed frozen/thawed. My tegu can not eat any type of food with out shaking it wildly and ripping it apart. Haha.

sounds just like mine. He never fails to make nice a bloody mess. I can imagine how it will be when he is an adult.

haha when Akira ate her first fuzzy for me...she swallowed it like a lady...lightly picked it up leaded her head back down it went...then she jumped up waiting for another...the 2nd one was more vicious, if it was a live mouse it would've had a concusion, every broken rib imagined, pierced lung, pierced organs period, and decapitation lol it was quite the sight

One of our adult female Blue's has always ripped apart her rodents!! A small rat ripped in half with the guts all over the kitchen floor is not a pretty sight!!!

I wish I could get my little girl (Ruby) to eat more meat. I'm having issues even getting her interested. Although she did finally eat a mealy for me yesterday. She also wont eat every day I'm assuming thats because its getting close to hybernation time here in PA.

I would get a fresh fecal sample to a herp vet just in case it could be parasites.
