First time out!

Well I was sitting at my computer today and Gummy was scratching at his door. I opened it and tried to put my hand near him to hop on so he could get out.. he wasn't having that!

So I put my hand a little bit farther away and after about 10 minutes he came up on my hand. Knowing how darty he is i didn't want to try and carry him in my hand so i put him in his soon to be feeding bin and took him into the bathroom.

I set him on the bathroom floor and he started to go exploring all over. He finally came over to me but wouldn't go near my hands because they are what picks him up and he doesn't like them (yet).

But he proceeded to lay on my foot to warm up and I decided to get some pictures!

After that ^ picture he heard the camera make a noise and went to investigate

He decided to jump at the camera and try to bite it to see if it was edible.

He is as picky as they come though! lol

All he wants to eat right now is crickets, wont touch turkey or worms anymore. I tried some liver and he only likes chicken liver but only ever takes 1 bite then leaves the rest. And I know i cant feed him that all of the time due to the Vit. A

I'm not sure what else to do though cause a cricket diet isn't exactly healthy..

ya mine are verry picky in the winter also prity much only eating live food and eggs when their being picky.but all tegus are different. my boy wen he was a babbie realy liked catching fish out of his water dish .

I got him a couple of Pinkies from Petco while i wait for my order from rodentpro to come in..
He REALLY seems to like the pinkies, even more than the crickets.

I think i should have gotten him the next size up because he is still very tiny but he seems to be able to swallow the pinkie in about half a second without any problems.
