Bfb, the problem with the feeder goldfish was thiaminase, which destroys vitamin B1. But you have to feed your tegu a lot of them for it to be a problem. This goes for live goldfish. I remembered there was a problem and I just looked it up.

I have had savannah monitors and tegus for around 7 years and have done 2 or more research on tegus so i know what to feed my monitors and tegus and i dont doubt you have knowledge on tegus and monitors but i was just saying that you didnt have to be a smart alec about it i dont want to have a fight over who knows more about tegus or monitors or some stupid fricken goldfish i was just stating that you can be "very Unkind" when posting because you seem to think that you are some high power on the forum or something dubya raised feeder goldfish and even said that they are GOOD in moderation thats all i said

Tone comes across the way you take it online. Yes I am blunt and too the point and don't sugarcoat things. I am not going to change for you or anyone else.

Do you mind posting some pics of your Savs and tegus? and some of their enclosures, I enjoy seeing how others keep their reptiles.

Kodo used to like silversides, but he seems to have lost his taste for them (my scheltopusik will eat them, however). I buy them frozen at the pet store; they're meant for bigger carnivorous fish and I personally think they make a great whole prey item.
