After a long search I found a garden center that had pure cypress mulch. It is the Jolly Gardener cypress mulch and says in spanish under the name mezcla de cubresuelos organico de cipres. Anyways I am finding big pieces of this red bark but I am not sure if it is from the cypress tree or not. I was looking at pictures on line and it does look similar to those pine nuggets. Anyone know how to tell the difference? thanks in advance!

Do a google image search for cypress mulch and you'll get tons of examples of what it looks like, just stay away from the dyed stuff - regular cypress mulch should be light brown though the shade can be a bit darker if there's moisture in the bag. There are usually larger pieces mixed in but it should be roughly the same color as the more finely shredded stuff.
