Just wonder how many of you have tegus that will take fruits and veggies w/o having to trick them I ask because i already know rayne will readily take them both, but storm ignores fruit and i discovered today he really likes zuchinni, just gave them a bowl of it and they demolished it, i would think he would prefer fruit over veggies

Having beardies and iguanas really helpped me figure out what fruits/veggies to feed, i fed my beardies basically the same diet as my iguanas with the exception of animal protein, my othetegus used to refuse fruits/veggies unless they were tricked(blended them with their meat) except my red, this is good for me i will try green/dandelions soon

Haha thats how I started fruits and veggies with Guru. I would get baby food and mix it in with eggs or put some on a fuzzy or hopper. He can't get enough of his fruits now though.

I had tried mixing it with their meals but they ignored it at first, lol one day rayne was out basking and i had some cantoloupe and strawberries so i offered him some and he ate it all to my surprise, then i tried blueberries and he ignored them the first time but he eventually took them now he loves them, the veggies they did take mixed in(probably because they couldnt smell them) now they appantly like them to lol

My tegu loves most fruits but isn't crazy about veggies. Didn't really have to trick her to eat it she just took to it one day.

I was a lil shocked they took the veggies considering they ate this morning, i gave it as a treat, i think rayne is learning how to beg for food lol, when he see's me he will come out his hide, come up to me stick his head in the air and flicker his toungue feverishly, if he thinks i have nothing to offer he will retreat, but if thinks i got something oh boy, he wants out(i feed them on the floor next to the enclosure) storm is just well storm, super lazy to him if you got something to eat you just got something to eat lol he isnt going to get all excited but when he is in front of that platter he will demolish everything within seconds
