good starter chameleon?

my fiance is thinking of picking up a chameleon at the expo next week.anyone of of some bigger sized chameleons that would be good? im not real up to date on them.

They are horrible impulse buys. Definately do your homework first.

As mentioned, they do not appreciate handling, but are beautiful display animals...

They are heavy climbers, so a well decorated enclosure with lots of branches/vines works best...

They need high humidity and fresh air, which is not an easy balance to create...

I've wanted one for quite some time but I've decided to wait until I can make a nice custom display enclosure built with all the bells and whistles to make him completely happy...

I think Chameleons are super cool ....

I did enough research on them to know that they are far beyond what I want to tend to..

They stress and die ..

Housing is impractical for me as is there food needs ...

That being said my wife Jan had two of them for years ...

It is do-able tho ...

yeah thats what iv heard,we had a pygmy and it died. i guess im not going to let her get one then. thanks for the info.

You "let" your fiancee do things? My lady would NOT be having that sort of arrangement!

lol i didnt mean it like that. i dont really have a say i what she does lol,shes as independent as me.

I "let" my wife do things too. What is wrong with that, I mean I "let" her do what ever she wants. lol :-D

haha ok so we got back from the expo and we got a jackson chameleon. i got him in a cage i built and he seems to be doing find for now.ill get pics up as soon as i can.
