Well,
The day after I arrived, the guy got there and he had the tegu with him. He gave him to me right there. Not knowing that I was camping that night, and it was going to be 35F. So I did the only thing I could, and went to a gas station and bought hand warmers. Kept him good and warm that night. I got him home and immediately put him in a warm bath. He has stuck shed on most of his toes and tail. I got it off of his tail and some of his toes and he started to whip around like crazy. He was already stressed to the max. I put him in is temporary home with some ground turkey (all I had at the moment) and he ate a little and burrowed under is substrate. He has been there ever since.
I don't want to dig him out, but I would like him to eat! He is sooo small. I can't believe he is 4 years old. I have more food now. Should I leave him alone? I guess he is in a semi-hibernation state.
