we've had our Tegus for over a yr an the vet says I'm doing everything right but he's still little he's grown in length but not really out and he doesn't have his big jowls can anyone tell me why please

when we got him he was only 2 months so he's about 14 months I'm guessing an he's about 2 1/2-3 foot an I was told he was a golden when I bought him but I could have been lied to. I have savannah's an there right on course with weight an length there huge . I was trying to post a pic but I'm on my phone so an it's a Windows phone so.

OK. Golds are a smaller and generally slimmer species than are Argentines. Jowls also not so developed in males of that species. Given his species and age, seems to me to be at right size.
