guru refusing to eat white rats?

I tried to give him a white rat a month or so ago and he didn't eat it. He bit it a few times and walked off. I didn't think much of it and gave it to Rango instead.

Since then Guru has had no issues eating any darker rats or spotted rats. Sunday I tried to give him another white rat and still no interest. I put it back in the freezer and tried it again today but still no interest. It's not a hunger issue, hes eating every other day and he eats everything except white rats...

He's eating other foods regularly, he doesn't seem to be picky when it comes to asf rats, black rats, etc. Raw meats are fine. It's weird, I knew some snakes were picky but a tegu? What gives??

I have heard of this with snakes as well, but never a lizard. That is funny, you have a racist Tegu.

My bearded dragon used to be fed a pellet mix as well as his veggies and bugs, he would eat all the pellets except for the green ones. Its weird to see reptiles having preferences lol.
I am kind of bummed, I'm hoping he'll eat white mice.. I just bought 150 jumbo mice and I think they're all white. If not I still have tri-colored asf's.
