I lol'ed. Thats the first time hes done that or had been around a nyla-bone... It didn't seem to hurt his teeth but I won't be leaving those around anymore.

Funny they will try to eat anything. I wear earplugs at night. I must have dropped one I caught him trying to eat it quite a different experience getting a lizard to drop something.

Mines tried to eat a cigarette butt the other day. Mine eats random things when she gets hungry. It might be smelling your dogs food on the bone. I let my Tegus free roam allot and sometimes if I don't get all the food my dogs knock out of their bowls off the floor the Tegus will eat it.

I was wondering if it was dog food he smelled on it, hes been around the dog food but hasn't shown interest. Instead he decides to climb across the dog food bowl, or lay in it.. So that now has to be put up too lol.
It's weird because he hasn't tried to eat anything "weird" before. I was getting a rat ready and my boyfriend told me to come look at what he was doing and I had to take a quick video lol.

I always try to get all the small things so they don't get injured, sometimes I overlook the big things that might spark interest lol. Thanks for the responses guys/gals, its funny to hear all the goofy tegu stories.
